PURPOSE:To reduce the load of a host computer system by changing the printing specifications of the page to be corrected using a print specification control part, sending print data again from a host computer and making it possible to print the print data correctively with the changed specifications stored in memory applied to each page, based on the print results of all pages of print data. CONSTITUTION:A printer which receives print specifications set for every page and print data for every page from a host computer 20 is composed of print specification storage memory 12 which receives and stores print specifications of all the pages, a print specification control part 13 which reads the stored content of memory 12, then selectively displays the data by each page and each specification item and at the same time, is able to change/set the selected and displayed content optionally, and print specification display par 14, when data is printed on each page. In addition, the printer changes and sets print specifications for the page to be corrected using the control part 13 based on the print results of all the pages of print data, and at the same time, allows the host computer 20 to send print data again. Further, the printer uses the stored specifications in memory 12 which are changed and set for each corresponding page and thus enables the print data to be printed correctively. |
