PURPOSE:To change a gear shift pattern to the low speed type pattern when a malfunction occurs in an exhaust system. CONSTITUTION:Signals of a noise sensor 12 and a temperature sensor 14 set around a muffler 10 are input into a control unit 16, compared with normal values of exhaust sound and exhaust gas temperature previously set in the control unit 16, and when these input signals exceed the set values, an exhaust system is decided to be abnormal and a gear shift pattern is changed to the gear shift pattern for an abnormal situation. In the control unit 16, the gear shift pattern for an abnormal situation, which is of lower speed type is set besides the gear shift pattern for the normal situation. |
