PURPOSE:To prevent the deformation of a vessel or the damage of a joint section by repeating expansion and contraction resultant from the heating and cooling of a heat storage material in terms of a latent heat type heat storage device which stores heat selectively in the vessel by repeating a melting process and a solidification process of the heat storage material filled in the vessel. CONSTITUTION:A heat storage material heater 4 is divided into 4a, 4b and 4c. The heater is installed to the top T1, both sides T2 and the central part T3 of a vessel. Time lag is provided to the power supply starting of the heater and heating is carried out in the order of the T1, T2 and T3 so as to melt a heat storage material 3 in the order of T1, T2 and T3. The pressure by expansion during melting time is released in the top space consecutively by way of a solvent. |
