PURPOSE:To enhance portability by preventing not only the drying, fixing and clogging of ink but also the leakage of ink in the ink jet cartridge of an ink jet recording system. CONSTITUTION:An ink receiving means 13 is provided in the cartridge main body 11 of an ink jet cartridge and ink 5 is emitted from the nozzle 16 of an ink receiving means 13 through an ink emitting means 12 and an elastic deformable part 7 expanding toward the outside is integrally formed to the ink receiving means 13. When the elastic deformable part 7 is pressed by mechanical external force, said part 7 is elastically deformed inwardly to change the volume of the ink receiving means 13. The elastic deformable part 7 is pressed by a press means 9 to emit and remove the ink fixed to the nozzle in a dried state. |
