PURPOSE:To provide a denitrification method and a denitrating agent showing a high denitrating efficiency and capable of keeping the high denitrating efficiency for a long time. CONSTITUTION:The denitration is carried out by allowing gas containing NOx to flow with a coexistent hydrocarbon by means of atomization, etc., in a treatment vessel providing at least one kind of zeolite carrying cobalt selected from the group consisting of a X-type zeolite containing Na, a Y-type zeolite containing Na, mordenite containing Na and A-type zeolite containing at least one of K, Na and Ca. |
