PURPOSE:To provide the irradiation device which eliminates the energy loss of a laser beam, the irradiation device which is particularly small in an adequate outside diameter at the time of passing the device through one guide hole of an endoscope and the irradiation device which is small in the number of parts or members and is eventually low in cost. CONSTITUTION:This irradiation device has an optical fiber 10 and a holder member 20 which has the higher rigidity than the rigidity of this optical fiber 10 and is integrated to the circumference of the optical fiber 10. The exit end face of the laser beam of the optical fiber 10 is substantially flush with the front end of the holder member 20 or projects therefrom with respect to the direction where the laser beam is emitted from the front end of the optical fiber 10 to the animal tissue of an object to be irradiated. Further, the exit face is brought into direct contact with the tissue to be irradiated and the holder member 20 is directly moved as a holding member or guiding member or a grip member integrally connected to the holder member 20 is moved as a holding member, by which the operation position is changed. |
