<p>PURPOSE: To provide a dry scrubber which is low in pressure drop, is simple in shape, is robust in structure and is low in a production cost. CONSTITUTION: A sprayer array 48 of a two fluid system sprays a finely atomized alkaline solution or slurry reactant in a uniformly dispensed state into a flue gas stream of high temperature, thereby adsorbs sulfur oxide and other contaminants. The latent heat of the flue gas evaporates the liquid from the slurry liquid drops within several seconds, by which the outlet gas temperature is lowered and the dry product is created.</p> |
