<p>PURPOSE:To make a camshaft support member small in the valve drive device of an internal combustion engine which can change the valve timing and the valve lift of an intake valve and an exhaust valve simultaneously by rocking the camshaft support member around a rocking axial center. CONSTITUTION:A camshaft support member 23 being pivoted around a rocking axial center O and rocked by a rocking drive mechanism D provides a structure combined between the upper ends of a pair of side plates 20, 21 by two camshaft support shafts 22a (22b) integrately and hollow camshafts 28a (28b) are supported rotatably on the periphery of respective camshaft support shafts 22a (22b). By supporting the camshafts 28a (28b) from inside, the size of the camshaft support member 23 can be made small in comparison with an usual structure supporting the camshafts by a cam holder from outside.</p> |
