PURPOSE:To provide a suspension device for vehicle in which sufficient damping effect can be obtained even for inertia moment to increase steering stability and also reduction in cost and weight of a system due to reduction in the number of part items is enabled. CONSTITUTION:A shock absorber (b) which is positioned between a vehicle body and each wheel and of which damping characteristics can be altered by a damping characteristics alteration means (a), detecting means (d) including two upper and lower speed detecting means (c) and (c) which are provided on the vehicle body with a specified distance provided in longitudinal and lateral directions of the vehicle and detect the upper and lower movement speed, and a damping characteristics control means (e) to control the damping characteristics of each shock absorber (b) based on control signals obtained from both upper and lower movement speeds, which are detected by both upper and lower movement speed detecting means (c) and (c), and a difference of both these speeds are provided. |
