The invention relates to compounds represented by general formula I below, pharmacologically acceptable salts of the same and pharmaceutical compositions containing them, <IMAGE> in which R1 represents hydrogen, halogen or alkyl, R2 represents alkoxy carbonyl, aralkyloxycarbonyl, carboxy, hydroxyalkyl or acyloxyalkyl, Y represents >CHOH, >CHOZ, >CO or >CH2, and Z represents acyl. The pharmaceutical compositions according to this invention are effective for the prevention and treatment of arteriosclerosis, ischaemic heart disease, cerebral infarcts and stenosis after PTCA operations.
