PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of wrinkles of glass cloth during the drying process and thus manufacture prepreg with excellent flatness by utilizing stretching projections and stretching curved surfaces provided on a roller in a drying tower for transporting glass cloth wound therearound. CONSTITUTION:The apparatus is constituted of a resin liquid tank having a transporting roller 2b and a drying tower 3 positioned on the upper side thereof for heat-drying glass cloth 1 forwarded passing through the resin liquid tank 2. On the upper side of the drying tower 3, a top roller 20 is secured. From the lower side thereof, the glass cloth 1 impregnated with resin liquid 2a is fed while rising along the drying tower 3, and transported while being wound via the top roller 20, and descends in the drying tower 3 and then pulled out of the drying tower 3 via a roller 7 arranged on the terminal side (exit side) of the drying tower 3 and, as a result, prepreg is obtained in a manner that it is cut into a predetermined length while passing through the cooling zone 8 and a roller 9. |
