PURPOSE:To provide a method wherein skin materials consisting of various substances can be used and there exists no limitation on the shape of the molded item and the process can be performed by a simple operation. CONSTITUTION:A core material 16 is held on a core material holding stage 14 having a vacuum sucking part 26 in such a way that the peripheral edge part 17 for joint of the rear face is held under a free condition and a flexible skin material 18 is placed on the core material 16 and furthermore the upper face of the flexible skin material 18 is covered with a sheet 20 for covering being air-non-permeable, flexible and stretchable in such a way that the flexible skin material 18 is covered therewith and an enclosed space 38 is formed between a base face 12 being the lower part of the core material holding stage 14 and it. The flexible skin material 18 is brought into tight contact with the core material 16 and it is bonded with the peripheral part 17 for joint of the rear face of the core material by sucking air in the enclosed space 38 from the vacuum sucking part 26 of the core material holding stage to make vacuum and rolling the covering sheet 20 on the core material 16 side thereby. |
