PURPOSE: To prevent a web from becoming torn by improving an apparatus for threading the web and enabling adjustment of the tensile stress applied to the web within a short response time. CONSTITUTION: A guide piece 1 with a square cross section, a guide channel 20 with an approximately C-shaped cross section and drive stations for driving the guide piece 1 are provided. The guide channel 20 is installed on the frame of the printing machine between 2 drive stations, and the guide piece 1 is slightly longer than the distance separating the various drive stations. Furthermore, a carriage 40 is installed, and by sliding the carriage 40, the guide piece 1 can be advanced. The carriage 40 has wedging rollers 42, 42' and 46, 46' which alternately grip and release the guide piece 1. |
