PURPOSE:To obtain an ultrasonic measuring instrument which can easily correct positional data even when the positional data are deviated and, at the same time, can set accurate positional data. CONSTITUTION:The vertical state of a probe 9 is detected by facing the probe 9 to a horizontal plate 2b, rotating the probe 9 by a prescribed angle, and finding the point where the then obtained reflecting echo level becomes the highest. The vertical state is detected by using the coordinate value of the center of a spherical body 2b under the vertical state as a reference coordinate value. Then the positional data indicating the relative position between an object to be inspected and the probe 9 are set based on the reference coordinate value. In addition, the above-mentioned measured data are displayed on a display in corresponding to the positional data. |
