PURPOSE:To provide a reversible thermal recording medium utilizing the reaction between a color former and a developer having a long chain aliphatic group, excellent in color forming properties and color erasing properties, reduced in trouble such as the release of a recording layer and having a long life. CONSTITUTION:A reversible thermal recording medium is obtained by providing a reversible thermal recording layer containing an electron donating color forming compd. and an electron acceptive compd. and forming a color developed recording state by heating and melting and forming a color erased state wherein recording is erased by heating at temp. lower than color forming recording temp. on a support through an adhesive layer based on a copolymer mainly consisting of vinyl chloride, vinyl group-containing phosphoric ester and a vinyl monomer. |
