PURPOSE: To improve fade-resistance of a support when contacted with oils and elevated temperature by comprising the support having provided and bonded by binder thereon in contiguous relationship an electron donating dye precursor and a succinimide of a general and prescribed formula. CONSTITUTION: A succinimide, for instance a N-(9-fluorenyl methoxycarbonyl oxy) succinimide shown in a formula I, is provided in contiguous relationship to an electron donating dye precursor, for instance a phthalide. Further, a polymeric binder such as polyvinyl alcohol and others binds both the succinimide and the precursor, which are placed. However, the formula wherein n is an integer 1 to 3 and wherein R is independently selected from hydrogen and C1 to C8 alkyl. And an electron acceptor-type developer such as 4,4'- isopropylpyridine phenol and others are provided using the same binder. |
