DEODORIZING DEVICE IN COMPOSTING EQUIPMENT FOR DOMESTIC GARBAGE

PURPOSE:To provide a deodorizing device for considering a counterplan so that both exhaust passed through fermented material and discharged therefrom and offensive odor contained in moisture attracted and removed from the fermented material are not scattered in the periphery of the device. CONSTITUTION:A deodorizing device is equipped with both an aeration tank 4 for storing the necessary amount of water and a deodorization column 5 constituted so that the adsorbing and deodorizing material 51 is packed in the inside of a cylinder and air is passed through the adsorbing and deodorizing material layer from an air intake port 52 of one end and discharged from an air outlet 53 of the other end. Exhaust and drainage passed through the fermented material are discharged to a chamber 35 comparted in the bottom part of a fermenter 3. The exhaust and drainage are passed through a discharge hose 37 communicated with the chamber 35 and a suction pipe 41 communicated therewith and discharged under the water surface of water stored in the aeration tank 4. Drainage is recovered in the tank. Exhaust is brought into contact with water in the tank to perform a first-step deodorizing action. Further. more, the deodorizing device is constituted into such a route that the air floating in the upper space of the aeration tank is passed through the deodorization column 5 by an air hose and a second-stage deodorizing action is performed by the adsorbing and deodorizing material 51 and thereafter the air is discharged to the atmosphere.
