PURPOSE:To integrally mold a decorative piece at the time of press molding by a method wherein the decorative piece is set to a part of an upper mold by a setting pin when a thermoplastic resin is injected in a lower mold to be subjected to press molding along with a skin material and a hole is bored in the skin material at the time of press molding by the setting pin to allow the molten resin to penetrate in the hole to bond the decorative piece to the skin material. CONSTITUTION:A protruding edge 11a is provided to a part of the molding surface 10a of an upper mold 10 to form a decorative piece attaching part 11. A plurality of setting pins 12 holding a decorative piece 4 is provided to the decorative piece attaching part 11 in a protruding state. A resin passage 14b is formed to a lower mold 14 and the groove part 15a in which the protruding edge 11a of the decorative piece 11 is fitted is formed to the lower mold 14. When a thermoplastic resin 5 is injected in the molding surface 14a of the lower mold and the upper mold 10 is allowed to fall, a skin material 2 and the resin 5 are subjected to press molding and, at the same time, pinholes are made in the skin material 2 by the setting pins 12 of the upper mold and a part of the molten resin 5 passes through the pinholes to penetrate in the gap between the decorative piece 4 and the skin material 2 to integrally bond both of them. |
