PURPOSE:To improve the mold releasing property of a die, improve durability, and manufacture a beautiful golf ball by dispersedly and uniformly depositing fluorine macromolecule fine grains on a nickel-plated layer formed on the face to be brought into contact with a golf ball molding material. CONSTITUTION:A nickel-plated layer 6 deposited with fluorine macromolecule fine grains is formed on the whole inner face and the surface of the periphery of the recess section 3 of a die 2 to be brought into contact with a golf ball molding material M. Nickel plating is applied by electroless plating, for example, the film hardness is preferably set to about 700-900 (Hv), and the thickness of the nickel-plated layer 6 is set to about 30mum or below. Polytetrafluoroethylene is suitable for the fluorine macromolecule to be deposited, and the grain size of the deposited fine grains is set to about 10mum or below. Excellent mold releasing property when a golf ball is extracted after molding and excellent durability are obtained. |
