PURPOSE:To provide a thermal recording material markedly improved in the storage stability of a recording image, especially, in the plasticizer resistance and oil resistance thereof and extremely reduced in the yellowing of a background part against light exposure. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal recording material wherein a recording layer utilizing the reaction of a colorless or light-colored basic dye with a developer capable of developing a color is provided on a support, at least one kind of a component selected from a novolac type epoxy resin, glycidyl diether or diester compd. using a benzene ring as a nucleus and a bisphenol A type epoxy resin is added to the recording layer. Microcapsules including an ultraviolet absorber and substantially having no color forming capacity are added to a protective layer. |
