The housing comprises a carrier ring (1), an insulating support plate (2) and an insert (7) supported vertically or at an angle relative to the support plate, receiving at least one plug connector component. The support plate comprises a one piece U-shaped angle element with relatively rigid arms and spring bearing walls, the arms and the transverse section between them respectively provided with locking tongues and projections or securing the support plate to the carrier ring. The insert is supported between the spring bearing walls via pivot pins (8), with at least one stop pin (9) determining its angular position relative to the support plate.
