The invention relates to voltage comparators. A comparator with hysteresis comprises a differential amplifier stage (4), and load means (6) connected to the outputs of the differential amplifier stage and to the output (S) of the comparator. The comparator further comprises means for hysteresis switching (10) which are connected between the differential amplifier stage and the load means, in order to define two levels of switching for the input signal under the authority of a second reference signal which is applied to them, by virtue of which the comparator switches from a first to a second state when the input signal reaches the first switching level, and it switches from the second to the first state when the input signal reaches the second switching level.
