PURPOSE:To obtain a solar cell which is high in efficiency and of layer constitution where an. interface can be formed high in quality and the component of a transparent conductive film is restrained from diffusing into a first semiconductor layer at a high temperature process in a manufacturing process by a method wherein a conductor layer and a second electrode layer are laminated, a light transmitting electrode of a laminated film composed of indium tin oxide or SnO2 and ZnO is made to serve as a first electrode layer, and a first semiconductor layer is formed of II-VI compound semiconductor. CONSTITUTION:A transparent conductive film 7 of ITO or SnO2 is formed on a transparent insulating substrate 1, and a ZnO layer 6 is formed thereon to constitute a first electrode layer 2 of a laminated film composed of the transparent conductive film 7 and the ZnO layer 6. An N-type CdS thin film is formed on the first electrode layer 2 as a first semiconductor layer 3, furthermore a P-type CdTe thin film is formed as a second semiconductor layer 4, and a second electrode layer 5 it laid thereon. |
