PURPOSE:To reduce in size, to eliminate maintenance and to improve reliability by connecting a power converter for boosting a voltage to a voltage higher than an optimum operating voltage of a solar battery, and connecting a capacitor and a load in parallel with an output of the converter. CONSTITUTION:A solar battery 1 is so controlled as to output power generated from the battery 1 at an optimum operating point of the cell by a DC/DC converter 2, and an electric double layer capacitor 4 is charged by the power. Then, a terminal voltage of the capacitor 4 detected by a voltage detector 5 is compared with a reference voltage by a comparator 7a of a control circuit 6. When the terminal voltage reaches a starting set voltage, a power MOSFET 8 is driven by a driver 7c, and power stored in the capacitor 4 is supplied to a load L. When the generating amount of the battery 1 is smaller than the power consumption of the load L and the terminal voltage of the capacitor 4 becomes lower than a stopping set voltage, the FET 8 is turned OFF by the driver 7c, and power supply to the load L is stopped. |
