<p>PURPOSE:To achieve panning without prior preparation by judging that the panning is being conducted. CONSTITUTION:A panning device is provided with a shaking detecting means 5 for detecting camera shaking to output a shaking detection signal, a correcting optical system 17 for correcting the camera shaking, and a shaking driving part for driving the correcting optical system 17 based on the shaking detection signal from the shaking detecting means 5. The device also includes a panning judging means 7 for judging whether or not the panning is being conducted by eliminating a high frequency component of the shaking detection signal from the shaking detecting means 5, and a switching means for cutting off the shaking detection signal to the shaking driving part when the panning is judged by the panning judging means 7.</p> |
