PURPOSE:To improve the utilization efficiency of an equipment by receiving its connecting request, when a cell rejection ratio of each node does not exceed a reference cell rejection ratio, respectively. CONSTITUTION:A connection setting device provided in an ATM(Asynchronous Transmission) communication network is provided with a connecting interface to each node (a)-(i) and a control CPU. Also, its control CPU is provided with an extracting means for extracting a traffic parameter reported in connection with a connecting request to other terminal B generated from one terminal A in many terminals A-E, a calculating means for calculating a cell rejection rate at least at every principal node (a)-(i) which a cell passes through with regard to a communication between one terminal A and the other terminal B from this traffic parameter, and a deciding means for receiving its connecting request, when the cell rejection ratio of each node (a)-(i) calculated by this calculating means does not exceed a reference cell rejection ratio, respectively. |
