A conventional low-calory composition with a reduced lipid and/or glucid content has added to it nutritional supplements consisting of plants, or plant extracts, from the Sapindaceae family and, in particular, from the PAULLINIA species. This addition may, in particular, be made by means of powder or seed extract from the guarana (Paullinia cupana) or an extract from the YOCCO plant (Paullinia scarlatina). The composition according to the invention ensures, by use in an exclusive or semi-exclusive diet, a state of general well being without the sensation of fatigue or hunger. It takes the form of a powder for dilution in water, of a liquid preparation which is ready for use or of a hydrated and compacted product (bars, squares or cakes, for sucking or crunching). |
