<p>PURPOSE:To start a program through simple hardware by reading and transferring a branch instruction to CPU by forcibly selecting ROM, stored with program data, by a program starting circuit. CONSTITUTION:The microcomputer system consists of CPU11, ROM13 and RAMs 121-12n stored with a branch instruction and branch addresses at their initial addresses, address decoder 17 which selects RAM or ROM according to address data output from CPU, address latch 16 which latches temporarily a low-order address, and program exciting circuit 18. After CPU11 is reset, circuit 18 selects ROM13 forcibly, CPU11 reads the unconditional branch instruction and branch address of ROM13, and reading the initial program stored in ROM13 is started. Since circuit 18 consists of FFs and a gate, its hardware needed to start the program is extremely small.</p> |
