PURPOSE:To efficiently separation-recover silver by allowing ions of heavy metals including silver to be adsorbed on a chelate resin followed by elution with predetermined acids in order. CONSTITUTION:A soln. of silver-contg. composite metal ions is treated with an ordinary heavy metal adsorbing chelate resion to allow ions of heavy metals including silver to be adsorbed. Heavy metals other than silver are then recovered by elution with hydrochloric acid or sulfuric acid as a heavy metal ion eluting agent, and the residual silver is recovered by elution with nitric acid of a predetermined concn., e.g. 0.1-5, preferably 0.5-3N nitric acid as a silver eluting agent. |
