The invention relates to a paper-securing mechanism in a device for forming images, in which a paper guided by a support member is sandwiched by a mechanism with drive rollers and the paper is supplied in a predetermined direction along the support member by the rotation of a drive roller and, moreover, a drawing is applied to the paper and, when the latter is finished, a cutter passes through (across) the paper-support member in order to cut the paper which is supported there. According to the invention, the paper-securing mechanism (50), the securing member of which passes over virtually the entire surface of the paper-support member (8), is arranged in a position opposite the paper-support member and the latter is free to come and abut on the side opposite that on which the paper is sandwiched by the mechanism with drive rollers (20, 24) with the already cut portion of the paper (4) as base.
