This cooler comprises a hot-water trickle structure (4) arranged below hot-water dispersers (2) and above a collector tank (3) for cooled water, and a fan (5) for sucking air laterally through the said structure, from the outside inwards, the trickle structure (4) having, seen in vertical cross-section, a horizontal upper segment (T1) in which efficiency decreases from the outside towards the inside, from a maximum value to a minimum value, and a horizontal lower segment (T3) in which the efficiency increases from the outside inwards, whilst the efficiency has medium values in the intermediate segment (T2). <IMAGE>
