The invention refers to a device composed of a mounting drum (1) with two drum end faces (flanges) (2), a drum core (3) and axial spacers (4) connecting the end faces (2) of the drum to each other and of an annular brush (5) with a flexible brush strip (6), bristles (7) standing up outwards from the brush strip (6), and with zones (8) devoid of bristles in the region where the axial spacers (4) cover the annular brush (5). The internal diameter of the brush (5) is greater than the external diameter of the core (3) of the drum. The radial spacing (R) between the core (3) of the drum and the axial spacers (4) is a multiple of the thickness of the strip whilst the axial spacing of the end faces (2) of the drum is greater than the width of the strip. <IMAGE>
