ON-LINE SYSTEM AND ITS OPERATION

PURPOSE:To evade the risk that is caused by a fact that a host computer does not function by a certain factor by providing a function to a subfile in order to show the fault of the host computer in the processing result of a processed transaction. CONSTITUTION:When a host computer 20 has a fault, a terminal system sends a transaction message to another relevant terminal system only when the transaction message received from a transaction terminal 11 is not identical with a transaction of the account of its own business office. Then the terminal system that received the transaction message from another terminal system updates a business office ledger 12 and sends an answer message to the transmitter terminal system. When the fault of the computer 20 is recovered, the computer 20 sends the fault evading information to each terminal system. Thus the terminal system that receives the fault evading information sends the record of the ledger 12 processed at the faulty time to the computer 20. Then the computer 20 updates a ledger 22 based on the record of the ledger 12 received from each terminal system.
