PURPOSE:To provide a detachable power lead for a superconducting magnet, which has less pin-to-jack contact resistance at the time of insertion and removal and minimizes the transfer of heat when detached. CONSTITUTION:A movable connector 5 is opposed to a fixed connector 6. The movable connector has pin jacks 1 and a guide pin 3 with a tapered end 3a. The fixed connector has pin plugs 2 and a guide hole 4. A dimensional condition, L1<=L2, is kept, where L1 is the sum of the distance L3 between the guide pin 3 and the guide hole 4, L4 is the length of the tapered end 3a, and L2 is the distance between the pin plug and pin jack. |
