<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the gradation display method of the liquid crystal display device which can make a uniform display by varying a period wherein one of two voltage value of a display signal is reached in a specific period. CONSTITUTION:As for the voltage waveform of a one-line signal applied to one picture element, a display signal and a scanning signal in one selection period have two kind of voltage values V1 and V2, and V3 and V4. Then one of display signals (b)-(e) is applied corresponding to the scanning signal (a). In a period wherein the signals (c) and (d) are display signals correspond to halftones and the scanning signal (a) in one selection period reaches one of the two voltage values V3 and V4, the time wherein the display signal reaches one of the two voltage values V1 and V2 is varied. Consequently, the uniform gradation display which does not depend upon a display pattern is obtained.</p> |
