METHOD OF CHANGING OVER COMMUNICATION IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM BY LOW-ORBIT SATELLITE FOR TERMINAL DEVICE AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM USING SAID METHOD

PURPOSE: To obtain a communication switching method for a low-orbit satellite communication system for a terminal equipment. CONSTITUTION: A connection station 12 connects a terminal equipment 13 to a ground communication network. In this method, the changeover between a link of a satellite and the terminal equipment and a link of the satellite and the connection station is attained only in a prescribed zone 15. The changeover of communication is decided, in response to deterioration in service quality and a radio environment, with respect to a terminal equipment group of the zone. Similarly this invention relates to the device employing the method with respect to especially a transmission/reception terminal equipment and a ground interconnection station. The system is especially applicable to space applications.
