PURPOSE: To obtain an inter-low overhead virtual storage communicating function between application programs by storing a table indicating a communication memory area permitted by an application program a corresponding in the corresponding communication memory area. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a cross-point switch 10 which mutually connects four computer systems 15. Then, an inter-virtual storage communicating function between two application programs being executed in different application areas stores a table indicating which inter-virtual storage operation and which part of a memory constitute a communicating memory area which can be used by the application program in an operating system. When the table indicates that a certain application executes the inter-virtual storage operation, and uses the communication memory area of the another application, the application program executes only inter-virtual storage communication with that application program.
