PURPOSE:To obtain a device and method for data collecting and monitoring data capable of efficiently specifying an objective part in a real time operation. CONSTITUTION:A data information word provided with an address within an already defined range is selected in one operating mode, and is stored in a shadow RAM 100, and only the changed part of data is provided to an observer. The observer can select the display form on the screen of the data included in the already defined address range. FIFO memory 150 stores the variable value of a selected data information word tentatively. Flag memory 140 stores a flag bit in an internal address in accordance with each address of an already defined external address block. A status bit is prepared for each data word addressed by the already defined address block, and is logically compared with a status bit which corresponds to the flag bit, and the data information word is stored in the FIFO 150 when it is true. The display and eternal storage of information can be also performed. |
