PURPOSE:To form a repellent thin film being excellent in durability on an optical member by heating and evaporating a specific organic silicone compound under a vacuum, allowing it to adhere onto an optical substrate, and forming the thin film. CONSTITUTION:An organic silicone compound shown by a formula is heated and evaporated under a vacuum, allowed to adhere onto an optical substrate, and a thin film is formed on this optical substrate. In the formula, (p) denotes an integer of >=1. Film thickness of this thin film is varied fundamentally by depending on an evaporation quantity of the organic silicone compound shown by the formula. Accordingly, by controlling the film thickness by angstrom order, a thin film having satisfactory water repellency can be obtained, therefore, for instance, by diluting the organic silicone compound by dissolving it in a solvent, it is desirable to control exactly its evaporation quantity. Also, it is desirable that a refractive index of the thin film is 1.30-1.37, and also, the film thickness is 1-50 angstroms. |
