PURPOSE:To originate/terminate calls from exchanges at the moving destination by providing a function to transmit the position register information of a moved cordless telephone from an exchange B to an exchange A as a packet when the private cordless telephone is moved from the private branch exchange A to the private branch exchange B within the housing range. CONSTITUTION:A private branch exchange 30 is provided with a CPU 31 composed of an inter-exchange communication managing part 311 and a position managing information file 313, packet exchange control part 32 and ISDN I/F modules 33, 34 and 34a. The position register information of the cordless telephone housed in the exchange 30 is extracted from the file 313 by the CPU 31 and made into the packet through an ISDN 36 by the control part 32, and the packet is transmitted/received with the other exchange. On the other hand, the CPU 31 processes the packet received from the ISDN 36 by the control part 32, the destination address in the packet is confirmed, and the position register information is managed by the managing part 311. Thus, even when any arbitrary cordless telephone is moved between the private branch exchanges, calls can be originated/terminated from the exchange at the moving destination. |
