PURPOSE: To provide a recovery control register in which the foot point of an instruction processing can be held, and error recovery information can be correctly applied to an error recovery processing facility in a satisfactory timing synchronously with the end of a check point. CONSTITUTION: A recovery control register is materialized by two stage type 502 and immediate type 504. The immediate type 504 includes information read by a CP microcode and used during recovery. The stage type can assemble a foot point by the CP microcode before a re-try check point is changed. The CP microcode operates one of the registers by using SET, AND, and OR functions. When a recovery algorithm demands the immediate change, the microcode operates the immediate type, and when the synchronization of the foot point with the phenomenon of the demand for the change is required, the proper foot point is inputted to the stage type 502, and a release signal is transmitted to an end/interruption logic in the CP. |
