PURPOSE:To enable even a beginner to easily generate a melody matching an accompaniment and also sufficiently enjoy a demonstration performance by reading out the automatic performance pattern of demonstration music having a melody previously stored in a storage means corresponding to a key of a keyboard while the key is depressed. CONSTITUTION:This device is provided with a storage means 17 storing automatic performance pattern of demonstration music with melody and a keyboard 10 which continues to select the demonstration music by depression of key. While the specific demonstration music is selected on this keyboard 10, the automatic performance pattern corresponding to the demonstration music is read out of the storage means 17 and a musical sound generating means 19 generates a musical sound according to the automatic performance pattern. A musical sound generating circuit 19 reads musical sound waveform data and envelope data out of a musical sound waveform memory 18 according to information supplied from a CPU 14, adds the envelope to the read musical sound waveform data, and outputs a musical sound signal. |
