<p>PURPOSE:To provide an acrylic resin-coated carrier capable of forming a copying image having excellent picture quality and excellent in durability, heat resistance and environmental resistance by coating the surface of carrier particles with an acrylic resin having specific physical property and then cross- linking them. CONSTITUTION:The carrier consists of carrier core particles and the acrylic resin applied on the carrier core particle. The acrylic resin is formed by cross- linking an acrylic resin having 15-120KOHmg/g hydroxide value, 5-40KOHmg/g acid value and 5000-30000 number average molecular weight. Acrylic acid or methacrylic acid is preferably used as a monomer having an acid group and used for acrylic resin. Hydroxyethylmethacrylate, hydroxypropylmethacrylate, hydroxybutylmethacrylate or the like is used as a monomer having hydroxyl group. A well-known material as the electrophotographic two-component carrier is used as the carrier core particles.</p> |
