PURPOSE: To improve a female electric contact. CONSTITUTION: A long body 12 of a female electric contact 10 has a terminal part 14 at one end and has a receptacle part 16 receiving a male pin at the other end. A pair of cantilevered beams 20a, 20 are of the same length, face each other, and have contact parts 22 at their respective distal ends. The arms of the cantilevered beams dislocated in the direction of their axes along the vertical direction B of insertion of the male pin, so that the male pin is engaged with the contact parts in sequence. The cantilevered beams are curved inward, and the portion of contact of the arm of one beam is engaged with the arm of the other while being exerted with preload. |
