DATA PROCESSOR HAVING MANUAL RELEASING FUNCTION, WHOSE BATTERY IS IMPROVED, AND WARNING LIGHT

PURPOSE: To provide an improved and simple warning system low in cost for warning a user not to release a battery before the information of a volatile memory is stored in a circuit. CONSTITUTION: A data processor is provided with a battery housing mechanism 12, and a battery is fixed by a releasable latch. A manually operated release button 18 is used for releasing the battery. A light source 22 is arranged in or in the neighborhood of the release button, and when this is illuminated, an optical signal for warning a user not to release the battery is provided through an optical pipe 20. The release button is covered with a door, and both the door and the button are designed so as to be operated by both hands. Thus, an accidental button operation can be prevented, and also the user can be allowed to pay attention to the release button and a warning lamp.
