PURPOSE:To surely prevent the deterioration in the picture quality due to production of moire. CONSTITUTION:Binary picture data are read from a picture memory 11 and divided into small blocks whose size is 4X4, and four picture elements are extracted based on an extract pattern selected among plural extract patterns from each of the small blocks, the size of the small block is changed into a size of 2X2 thereby halving the size in the main scanning direction and the subscanning direction respectively. |
