<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a flat transformer in which simplification of a transformer structure is kept, and insulation among wirings satisfying a safety standard requirement is ensured by covering one or plural primary windings or windings of each set in each sealed plastic box the whole of which is sealed, except for a point from which a lead wire is derived. CONSTITUTION: The present flat transformer is designed around 2 E-shaped cores. Two sets of primary windings 491, 492 are contained in two plastic boxes 41 and 42 molded identically. Each primary box 41 or 42 is molded into a flat cover and a hollow 'lunch box'-like container. A primary laminate layer of the winding is placed in a half of the 'lunch box', and then the cover is welded at a proper position. The plastic box 41 has a central elongated hole for receiving part of the cores and is shaped into an elongated rectangle having three round corners with a fourth corner that ensures derivation of a lead wire. Elongated rectangular ribs 45 and 46 are protruded from a principal surface of the box 41 at the fourth corner, perpendicular to the principal surface. These ribs have stagger configuration interlocking with each other, when the same boxes are positioned in a laminate layer adjoining to each other.</p> |
