The element is in the form of a profiled rectangular box fitted with flanges (2, 3, 4, 5) laterally extending two opposite sides of the rectangle, respectively on the front face and on the back face of the element. The flanges have different lengths, so that the profile is circumscribed by a trapezium. Loop holes may be formed by removing a front flange or by combining elements with different lengths. Removal of the back flanges makes it possible to make curves with a small radius of curvature. <IMAGE>
