PURPOSE:To provided an electric wire having high foaming rate and excellent dimensional accuracy with small diameter and thin wall by applying such a composition that a thermally expansible hollow ball is added to a water soluble emulsion polymer onto a conductor and drying it so as to be heated and foamed. CONSTITUTION:Such a paint that a thermally expansible hollow ball is added to a water soluble emulsion polymer is applied onto a conductor. After being dried, it is heated to be foamed, followed by forming in a predetermined thickness. As the water soluble emulsion polymer, acryl, vinyl acetate, etc., are used. As the Shell composition constituting the thermally expansible hollow ball, acrylic ester, metaacrylic ester, etc., are used, and isobutane, pentane, etc., are used as an intensifying agent. Accordingly, an insulator having small diameter and thin wall, good appearance, and low dielectric constant can be provided. Further, crosslinking may also be capable by radiating an energy ray onto this foamed insulated wire. |
