The connection device according to the invention relies upon a fish joint consisting of a profiled component of substantially OMEGA -shaped cross-section, the ends of which fit into two respective lateral grooves (9, 10) formed in the elements to be assembled, on either side of an internal ribbing (8), and the outer face of the core of which exhibits two parallel axial grooves in which two respective axial ribbings (12, 13) formed in the said elements fit, the immobilization of the fish joint in the elements being provided by means of a binding (locking) screw (18) passing through holes produced between the two axial ribbings (12, 13) and screwing into tapped holes formed in the fish joint. The invention applies particularly to the production of tubes for winding up/reducing the sail area (said roller reefing tubes). <IMAGE>
